Bungle that looks really good, you must have the knack at this roller painting, what did the sides of the camper come out like?

jeebz the only update is I have sprayed the rear panel, and here's a close-up of the same area as the first roller painted photo I posted. I only get Sundays on the mini so it's a bit slow going I'm afaid, so haven't had chance to flatten back and polish.

thats ok. Im away for a bit now so there is nothing for ne to do but pester people to see how they are getting on. Im just trying to decide what is the better option, money and quality wise between aerosol and roller. Did you prime before you aerosoled or rollered?

For me spraying with hard hat is the best option. It's quicker to do, no faffing with thinning paint or trying to get rid of air bubbles and roller marks left in the paint. Of course if you're a dab hand at rollering like Bungle then it will be cheaper to roll it on. Either way, make sure you use a primer as a base coat because if you have any bare metal or filler...it will show through the paint. I used Simoniz red oxide primer rattle cans.

How good is the hard hat at leveling compared to the roller?

Compared to the rollering I did, the spray looks very level.

re the primer, very much depends on the colour and how many coats your putting on

with rattle cans I think you'll need to prime it 1st to get an even colour to go over just because the paint goes on that much thinner
