Personally i would be buying new pistons with the state those are in and get the block decked to suit the new ones.

I wanted to avoid decking the block but wouldnt mind changing the pistons dose any body know if any body has any 73.5 pistons lying around for sale that would be the best bet. Some thing that would handle the supercharger.
Plus what other chargers can you use other than the M45 ?

those pistons are a LONG way down the bore, there must be somthing odd going on for them to be that far down, probably they are short pistons for a stroker, with them that far down you won't have any squish so combustion and therefore power will suffer.

where is the port cracked? i'd say the best thing would be to get it brazed and get them to preheat it and let it cool SLOWLY!

Cracked head...Dodgy looking pistons...And a super charger dont add up to a reliable engine.Your choice to continue with what you have of course...But my advice would be to start again...

Yes i agree i have finaley desided agenst the pistons i am getting new ones. I am getting 11cc omega pistons so hopefully i might not have to use a decompretion plate i would like to avoid it. As for the head its only a tiny tiny crack and if i can find it would rather fix it because its a stage 4-5 turbo head. A friend recomended pulling the vack addvance off the dizzy and setting it to 20 degrees should be fine to start with before buying a meajolt.

Ive never heard of a forced induction bias head be labled as a stage 4 head. I suspects its an N/A head with huge ports and small chambers. Take some photos for us.

I would add that a tiny tiny crack that you can see when the head is cold can become a big big crack when the engine is hot. I had a fairly valuable old cooper head that had beed well worked..found a tiny crack!! its now a very expensive door stop!!

Here is a pic of the crack..if your crack is like this then the head is toast!!

I think the crack is in one of the ports i belive. My friend told me you jave to get the head baked and then welded. Has no one herd of this being done.
