I think you can braze them to seal a crack..but not sure how successful that would be, they are cast iron and as far as I know cant be welded.

Yes thats right. You can also get a fluid like rad seal but more heavy duty. Am not sure where i can get it so i am going to have to do a bit of shopping around.
I have also changed my mind to changed to a 1430 super. I just need short hight pistons i all ready have a set of cooper s rods and a long reach crank. Dose any body have any idea what other superchargers can be used on A+ engine's i keep hearing bad things about the eaton M45 open to all help and opinions thanks

Out of interest, how are you planning to get the compression down to a sensible level if you're going 1430 ?

Well i will have to have a decompretion plate now. I am planing on having more cc machined out of the pistons to help. Whitch bring me to a nother question has any one supered a 1430 or might i be the first ? I would like to pick there brain a little bit. It cant be that hard to do. I wan t to do something a bit diffrent. I hope to change the pully on the supercharger to a smaller one and bring it up to about 11p.s.i
Any input. Thanks.
