I'm not sure a UK based sub-forum would attract much traffic from actual Americans.

What makes TMF great, aside from the technical info, is the enthusiasm shown for the mini by young people.

Most mini people in North America are old folks, as seen on minimania, who are mostly stubborn people with outdated information. And also not the type of people who would stray on to any part of the internet based outside the greatest country on earth.

Are we able to give it a try here and find out?

So you know the other Mini owners in my town? :proud: Jeez, had a couple of them griping last year about "Why would anyone owning a Mini want to put a radio in it?" etc. They looked at me very suspiciously when I said mine was fuel injected... Too each their own, I guess!

Yeah I wouldn't mind. We should try out a Canadian version at least. After all, we are an English colony.

Just a suggestion guys, why don't you ask Admin if they will start a North America section in the TMF Regional Sections area.

Alright just asked about getting a US sub created. I also asked if we could redirect that specific subforum to my domain www.theminiforumusa.com that way it can relate directly to all the "old and stubborn" people in the US with the greatest country in the world complex! by the way I am US based (if you haven't guessed that already) and I am 23 years old and have 3 mini friends who are also young like me SO THERE!!
