Iv never had a connection with the beatles. I love music and its a passion of mine and my music taste is broad and spans different eras but i just really dont like the beatles...dont see what all the fuss is about.

Anyone else? Or should i go and lock myself in a cupboard somewhere?

Anyone else have this kind of feeling about other bands/books/films?

I enjoy a lot of music, and mostly 60's 70's 80's 90's and 00's and i enjoy the odd beatles song, blackbird, the whole of sgt peppers cd, and the other better known popular songs, but the rest I am not completely bothered about and some of the later stuff is bloody wacky, but certain songs defo have place in my playlist

I feel exactly the same. I think none of them could sing or play an instrument very well. And the songs are just boring and meaning less.

It's a way of life that only captures some. SGT Pepper is a religion in itself. :-) I think they're epic, but so does the rest of the world.

I guess it's because they where the first to develop the rock/pop industry. They also inspired my favorite band, Nirvana.

I love the Beatles; one of my favourite bands, I think they have some of the widest spread of songs that cover a lot of genre's so If you listen to enough you'll find at least one song you like.
But I understand that people have different taste in music, and that's what makes music important.

That is totally wrong to be honest, they could all sing and all of them were great musicians even Ringo had something about his playing. George developed over his career into a great lead guitarist, John was always a brilliant rhythm player and Paul could play anything .

I think to call their songs boring and meaning less is naive; they might be boring and meaningless to you, but over the past 40-50 years there's been a lot of people that would disagree with you.

Sorry if I offended anyone but that's my opinion. And the only thing Ringo's playing hads was bad timing

Very over rated band IMHO, and I'm really into my old music....after searching into a lot of bands that "didn't make it big" I've come to the conclusion that their some of the best out there....

2066 & Then
Highway Robbery
Hard Stuff
Brainticket
Yesterday's Children

the list goes on....

No offence taken.

IMO people think it's cool to sl@g Ringo off; he might not be as flashy or technical as Bonham or Moon but he did his job perfectly like Charlie Watt's for the Stones.

Read this thread, it might change your mind:

I honestly don't know how you can not like that

but it makes my point that they cover so many bases; from" I want to hold your hand" to helter skelter in 5 years :proud:
