Hi Jake. Got to ask, apologies in advance, what are those arches and what size wheels are you running? That's the exact look I'm after. Cheers. Tony

Thanks for the reply Jake, I take it you had to do a fair bit of cutting on the arches to get those wheels to fit ?
I wasn't thinking of going quite so large, I was thinking of 12x6 revolutions.
Stunning looking car by the way. Cheers. Tony

You will need to cut about the same amount off for 12x6 revos as you would for 13x7's anyway..Here are my 12x6 revo's for you to compare..Not on my GT but you get the idea...Group 2 race arches by the way!!

Here are a couple of pictures I took when I put the deposit down on the "Minx" (Mini the).
They're not fantastic but you get the idea.
Loving it so far, one or two issues that need sorting, mainly cosmetic rust and a smoky engine for now.

That's a nice looking GT. I would suggest leaving it like that to be honest, looks original. Do you have any interior pics?

Here's my dad's:

nice looking GT, personally i would put black GT stripes on it and a black vinyl roof, keep the colour the same and ditch the alloys for some original wheels............the Gt's never came from the factory with plastic arches so leave yours as it is................completely original.

Thanks for the info and suggestions guys, I've got an itch to scratch and this is going to be turned into a "Scalextric" 1275 GT just like the ones I remember from my childhood set. It will either be red or yellow, but I'm leaning towards red. It will have different seats as the standard ones scare me to death (no head rests and far too low down for me), possible roll cage, wider wheels and arches, chequered roof, set of spot lights, sump guard and some sort of ICE install, (nothing radical, but DAB with IPOD connectivity).
If I go red it will have white 1275 GT stripes.
I hope I don't upset any purists on here, but this is one of those life long things I've wanted to do.
Cheers and Thanks again for the comments. Tony
