Started the filler work on the front valence today! I will be getting it all sorted on both front and rear valence before it's flipped over as it's Easyer like this !

I must have missed this. Is that a mk3 front panel converted to a mk1?

Yes in a way but mk1s stopped having the full skirt in around 64/65 so technically I shouldn't have it. But I prefer the rounded off look!

They are different :s??? I wish I had known about this before I painted inside the front valence! Can't weld now it will burn paint off!
Oh well numberplate hides the mounts

I know cooling is affected but this van will never be driven hard and only used on special occasions. It can't make that much difference as I have seen a lot on track race minis with the full skirt . :)

I like the originality of the front panel. Unless you are going for a very large spec engine and running steelies then dont worry about overheating the brakes.

Never had a problem with mine on the MK1. I have a 1293 with 7.5" brakes and 5x10 minilite wheels.

Right did a bit today ! Filler is nearly done on the front valence just filling pin holes now !

Also I started on the rear valence. Few bits of welding needed yet on the doorstep but hopefully next job will be getting front + rear valence etched/stonechip and painted whilst it's this way up as it's Easyer !
