at least you can see if its possible to knock the stub axle out with a hammer!!

You do not normally need shims if the subframe is ok. Too much shimming would cause toe-out, which is downright dangerous because the handling becomes rather unstable. You can only adjust towards toe-in by filing the hole and either building the opposite side up with weld or welding on a large, thick washer of the correct size. Be sure that the toe is wrong before doing anything.

Well thats good to hear, it handled right before so i'll just put it back as it was.
The front tracking needs doing anyway so I can the rear checked at the same time; thanks.
I picked up the arms today, really happy with them they look brand new! Can't fit them yet though as i'm taking this opportunity to replace the knuckle joints which were out of stock so have been ordered.
