i know its going back a bit now, but early metros have hydraulic clutches, which pretty much just uses a mini master cylinder, it may be easier to change that then hunting for different boxes etc.

If you keep an eye out for a b16a1 box out of an old crx they are cable as well could save you the bother of modefiying it to

Thats what I would have done but there has been a lot of money spent on this box to reduce transmission loss. It's a lightly modded engine as it is because it's giving torque figures of 149 lb/ft an a BHP reading of 160 and only losing 11 through the box.

I'm hoping it won't be too difficult to do the mods.

A couple of small reasons but the biggest is me realising it isn't a good enough substitute for a Mini! So I'm selling the Tro and buying a mini. Don't panic though, I'm also buying another Tro, 5 door and an earlier model to the one I have.

Where abouts are you located? I know a guy in Perth who i would strongly recommend for honda bits, he always has a B16a2 or simular kicking about, got contact details if you need them

Just had a quick search on the bay and that popped up. Soon get your moneys worth out of that. As for parts from Perth its quite a trek from Northampton but he does delivery and when he sent my engine DHL balls up and he ended up driving, free of charge, from perth to preston in a van, picked up the engine and delivered it to me, couldnt believe it. I'll PM you his number

As for the subframe ill be using the standard a-series frame, but modified to allow the vtec to fit, a mate of mine has used the k-series frame but he has to run 13" wheels due to the pcd on the k-series brakes, i want to keep my 12's, but ill be ipgrading to vented and groved discs n uprated pads when the vtec is in ;)
