I went and viewed the metro last night, had to fight my way through a jungle to get to the door lol opened it up and there it has sat for 18 lonely years, thick layer of dust, flat wheels, rusty front wings (about the only place rusted badly) bit of a musty interior (but all present and in v.good nick!) put in an offer and some gardening services (old bloke in a home, and council have been threatening action if he dont sort it out) but if my offer is accepted, this weekend will be opperation save the metro lol

Sounds like a pretty heroic rescue! Did you get any pictures of its current home?

Find a crashed EK9 Type R. Proper engine OR a crashed Integra DC2 with a B18C2 engine. Hand build and hand cut inlets and outlets on 96 specs and then hand built and machine cut inlets and outlets. 98 is the one to go for!

Haha yeah... Tires are fine... For door stops! Nah they are totally shot, only fit for scrap, the steel wheels however will be perfect for banding ;) any of you who saw or know of the beige mk1 metro turbo on retro rides will know how these old metros can look!

Decided it would be a shame to mess with a complete car, so I now have a new rolling shell minus engine, gave it a quick look over, generally its very good, few bits of bodywork need attention, front panel needs a patch, rear end had a shunt at some point (few creases to sort out) but spot on for what i want it for



Paint work is like this all over after a wipe down...



Nice shiney roof paint



Amazingly its only done 15k miles from new!
