Well a bit of a up date,i had a few hours free today  so i put the head lights on ,door mirrors .

i also had a bit of a problem with the engine, i was getting a metal to metal sound when it was running so i started to have

a look around , in the end i took of the rocker cover i noticed the rockers where getting no oil.

When i put a bit of oil on the noise went, so took off the rockers and notice that there was no oil hole on the rocker

gear to allow oil to get to same (really weird)

So onwards and upwards ..........

Thanks for looking Dave

so here s the way the is looking today DSCF4361_zps34745961.jpg

Have nt been at it lately because of work been so busy and also been back at the marinetime collage doing exams

to move up the ladder  so hopefully :gimme:  anyways I had token the car out for a spin yesterday and while heading for home

the car just stopped running  so I had to get the car towed back home with a friend of mine

so when I got it back we were getting no spark so I took off the dizzy cap and saw this

DSCF4366_zps1c020e18.jpg

so I havnet decided to get new point or get a whole new dizzy as I heared that the dizzy in auto isn't really great and be better off with a dizzy from a manuall

today I fitted my new cones well one of them with hi low on the front passenger side just look at the old one to the new one

I would leave the seam strip the colour it is Dave. The problem being its flexible and the paint will crack and fall off.

Hi all,

Thanks Neil I think I will just leave it alone...

I have been driving the auto for about six months all going well....

but I have a manual 998 which I rebuild a year ago along with the gearbox and diff which I changed to 3.44  to go in a different car but it never happened :ohno:

The auto was just changing gears very fast but as soon as it got up to top gear it was good fun...but I needed a change

I put new bearings, rings, flat top pistons , sw5 cam , lightened flywheel ,stage 3 head , and a dizzy from aldon in the manual

so it should have a good bit of poke

so out with the old and in with the new ya!!

oh no no engine!!

Auto out

IMG_0256_zpsb619e706.jpg

right time to time in the SW5 with DTI and protractor and so help from members on here..Thanks :highfive:

IMG_0267_zps9bb18ce2.jpg

manual in...

IMG_0271_zps5236f138.jpg

so I got up real early this morning to get things done

so it was in with pedal box , clutch master cylinder, slave cylinder, gear linkage , exhaust system RC40, Rad , etc etc

I think tomorrow I will try and turn the engine over see what happens :ohno:

Thanks for looking Dave

Hi there,

On Page 1 of your thread you use a rear pocket panel, did you buy this or make it?  Never seen it before if it is bought!

Thanks

John
