pictures as promised:P
paint:D this is the matt paint, am going to make it a rattlook race car, or as it did when i found it. will look neat with faded stickers (stickyfingers is on the job) and old looking items:) i am having a side exhaust made (unsilenced) that i can put on quickly when i enter shows etc or any private ground (use it on the road if the runs short enough ) it will shove soot etc up the side making it look more rat retro:)
by the meaning of rat, i want it to look like its original old paint, just faded. its not going to be like a rat look Vdub. will literally look like ive taken it out of storage after 40 years and used it.
need to get cracking building it, now im employed finding the times hard in racing season. im asking my boss if during winter i can take a few weeks unpaid hoiday (can afford to at the moment) and bring my car in to the build up workshop and just build my car! he doesnt have to pay me over an unprofitable time (no winter races = no money) and i can build my car to the high standard i like with the right tools
clubmans coming along well now check that thread out! 1312cc track toy

Good Work Mr dodger, It'll look Great with the matt paint and other old looking bit's, It'll be good to see something different rather than all the perfect polished cars.

oh mygod i did something today! havnt stopped really because of work, this has been the first weekend ive had in a while! 8)
so. update.
me and my dad have taken on the job of repairing this, giacomos 59 challenge car after a little shunt:( so strip and cut out when my dad gets the time!
i got a new road car yay oh yay its so fun and fast.
im building a boxster cup car at work when we get the time, i had to get the suspension built and oh its wheels so we can fit the cage, i wound them right down and oh my its low 8) looks smart!
FINALLY the miglia8)
as i have decided to race it, i had to upgrade from the ally cage...
so safety devices one has gone in! really nice cage and fits awesome for a car thats already been rolled! ;)
i have so much to do now, i have got the chance to take the mini into the RACE workshop to build it up over winter holiday, so thats the plan. so i have this weekend and next to get the cage in and have a painted shell ready for a build!
the engines being sorted sooner or later, when i have time and the money! i got a 2K tweeks order gone through for all of the bits to build her into a quality race car, but keeping to original spec as much as i can:D
im real pleased how it fitted over the column mount, i thought it was gonna touch one bad thing is that the cage goes right where the servo was.. and the brake pipes :/ so i rekon a proper bias bar from kad, proper master cylinders and just aeroquip the lot. i got all the gear at work to do it easy so no great shakes there:D keep eyes on, more to come very soon!
