So Ed let me get this right front engine rear wheal drive what diff ratio are you using also I noticed that nifty little set up with the alternator, so you have attached a pulley directly from the crank and made the existing alternator redundent is that right.

3.54 diff is the lowest i can get for the axle, yeh the engine in the front for a change.
the alternator is quite a nice setup, hopefully it will work a treat once it is all wired up. the old charging system will be made redundant

anyway, hows the mini coming along? you got all the brakes sorted out yet?

Regards,

Ed

The car had a dash2 installed nice piece of kit when fitted correctly but when w started to unwire it it was all wrong anyway a chappy is coming down from Oxford who specialises in installing these dash boards they have to be sync with the ecu as I have always said leave it to the people who know. All the dings and dents have been hammered out, new rear valence is in now and hopefully the 4 wheel alignment will be done in the next 2 weeks.

Regards

Joss

I've got one of these speedo's in mine; actually I will have, it's currently sat in its box! If you don't mind me asking who are you getting to come and do install and what sort of moneys does he charge?

You can PM if you'd prefer too.

Cheers
Kev

Well the electrical work is finally coming together the guy tinkering with the dash2 is Ryan the other chap is Stuart (Bright spark) who rewired the Mini

Hi Kev

If you are looking for a tech to look after your dash2 which I strongly recommend contact Kieran at Race Technology and ask him for Ryans details he is good.

Ed

jacked up at the rear with no wheels on walked out of the workshop I forgot to lock the jack came back the car was resting on the valance creased and dented so it needed a transplant.

Bare metal was smoothed down and the rear valance and inside of the engine was sprayed with an anti chip primer, today the rear will have the 2 pack finish coat applied to the rear and doors. Next the car will be shipped off to have the 4 wheel alignment done and the car will be set up on a rolling road with a new Dynojet to reset the engine for optimum performance.
