Can't bring myself to watch this over-hyped,contrived and pre-scripted rubbish.
Sorry if that offends anyone but TV is totally contrived.
Some may remember when my family were on 'Car Booty' raising money for my Grandson's Mini re-build. What you saw was nothing 'like it really was' and things were out-of-sequence, contrived & scripted.
But, hey, if it all gives entertainment to people why should we care.

WHAT!!!!!!! TELLY ISN'T REAL? And there was me about to touch up a brand new spray job with a 1" brush after watching classic car rescue on channel five. Saved us again Cooperman ;-)

It amazes me the rubbish they try to palm off as 'reality'. I don't watch any of it, but the X factor is symptom if of how tragic some people are. They don't want to work hard or have a career, they just want to be famous. Sad that their lives are so devoid of realistic and achievable goals.

I generally dislike reality tv shows. TOWIE, Geordie shore, The Valleys (a new one I think), X-Factor, BGT etc are all crap. It's all manipulated to make TV that is entertaining for most people - and sadly it works. I read somewhere not too long ago that TOWIE alone was responsible for a ridiculous amount of sales because so many people wanted to own the same stuff these morons owned. There are many 'celebrities' that are famous these days for pretty much nothing and the massive increase in magazines like Closer etc which follow celebrity live styles all adds in to the crap, IMO. People described as heroes that quite frankly are nothing of the sort - we had that discussion not so long ago on here.

However, I do watch X Factor if I'm in. I like music. I don't care about their sob stories, I don't care who wins as invariably is a fix of some sort depending on what Simon Cowell wants in the market over the next 12 months. Just look at Little Mix - absolutely rubbish and until recently, no one heard anything from them since that first song. Oh, and Tulisa is hot.

TV is all just about making money at the end of the day. If it wasn't, we wouldn't have TV. It's that simple.

Strictly Come Prancing is a different kettle of fish altogether, we dance around with the youngest two pretending to take part  ..... while the teenagers demolish a bag of doritos and dips >_<

Plus you get to watch the pro dancers :gimme:

I agree with you entirely on the subject of 'heroes'. Those show-biz ******* and over-paid ball-kickers are not 'heroes'. Heroes are our lads fighting an un-winnable conflict in Afghanistan for purely political ends, people who donate a kidney so that another may live, the 20-year old captain of a Lancaster over Germany in 1944, mountain-rescue guys who go out in appalling weather to rescue a person in distress on a mountain, an amputee who simply will not give up on living life to the full and so on.
Thank God we have real heroes like that.

I'd better go and do some work on my Innocenti then! It's nearly finished, just awaiting the final bits like the new carpet set from Newton, the re-trimmed front seats, a set of correct Firsat wheel centres and a couple of switches.

If it was it would be better than the Channel 5 crap. It sure is an attractive-looking Mini and very smooth to drive. When finally done it'll be almost like a new car.
