Started my latest project this week. I bought this back in the spring with tax & MOT until the end of September & used all through the summer for shows & was my only car most of the time! I even used for the whole autotesting season & it was fantastic!

Anyway, now out of MOT & my estate is back on the road so it's the MK1's turn. Before any clever dick points out it's on a 69 G reg, it was exported when it was new to Germany then re-imported & registered in 69.

That's all for now. The biggest job is the floor which needs a whole replacement due to 45 years of patching & repairing. I think I will get it in 2 halves with sills & replace both sides of the tunnel.

Will be for sale when done so get your offers in :P

Nice project. I was bidding for that when it was on ebay. Think I went up to about £1800 on it, can't remember

Nice project - depending on whether you're more time- or budget-limited I would recommend an m-machine full floor pan if time is an issue. I've done one of these, the quality and fit were good and you'll get a tidy finish inside which will be bonus £ if you're doing it for sale. Seeing as yours has had a billion repairs over the years (like mine had) I think it would be worth the extra 300 quid (even though it's not actually that much difference once you factor in the heelboard and reinforcement panels, crossmember, jacking points, battery cable runners etc etc)

Good luck! Be watching this one

I may well do that yet, haven't decided 100%. Thanks.

Ah yes, the only non-original thing I think is it has little steering lock/ignition barrel on the l/h side of the steering column. Whoever done it just put an extra switch in the switch panel to fill the hole!

Definitely gonna be following this one Josh, it should be awesome. Plus, because I've seen it in person pre-resto, I'm hoping I can see it once it's done too!

Sick little car ^^
