Ordered all the panels from M-Machine.

Had time to pull one door apart yesterday. The bottom was a little bit rotten -

Panels have arrived :) Got the door skins on -

While I was waiting for the panels & stripped the engine down. I am waiting for new mains & big ends. The oil pressure was quite low on warm idle so hopefully these & a new oil pump will sort it.

It was also in bad need of new stem seals so I stripped the head, cleaned everything up, lapped the valves in, new stem seals.

Got the flitch done & the A panel on -

Was wondering, what are those two 'buttons' above the top hinge mount?

Great progress and tidy work

I think I know what you mean, they're just plug welds that I hadn't cleaned off when I took the picture.

Hi Josh just found this thread, some cracking work so far, I'm about to tackle the door skins on the van any tips? ;)

I also just remember I emailed you about some parts weeks and weeks ago for the van.

will let you know about that in due course.

Looking forward to your next update.

Hello there, I have a piece of wood, a length of roofing baton that I clamp the skin to the frame with along the bottom as the door has a slight outwards curve to it. It just holds it in place nicely along with a pair of molegrips at each top corner while you go around folding it over. Hope that makes some sense!

Nice - is the sill and floor section the M-Machine panel that has the outer sill already attached? Was it easy to fit?

Yep tis M-machine with outer sill, it's a pretty good fit, took a bit of bashing & bending but that's probably more due to my shell than the new panel!

Have you taken the bottom on the rear bin off to help with fitting that up as well?

Thanks, good to know someone is interested :)

Yeah the bottoms of the rear bins were all patched up & horrible, lower bin repair panels are cheap enough from M-Machine & it makes fitting the floors much easier.
