Would i even have to take a my mini for a sva if i have an engine change ? Its still a techniqualy still a mini , but with a different engin ?

this is where you have to do some research as to what needs an IVA (the points system) as you lose points for changing suspension, engine, body, etc

Where could i find that out ? maybe i coukd pop down to my local sva test centra and ask ?
Also , if i keep a mini enigine , can i jsut get a 1275 lump from where ever and it will fit in ? or does it have to be the specifice one for that year ?

Any 1275 will fit, and search online there are multiple threads on this forum alone and probably every other car forum, and there will be a handbook somewhere online too
