Great car, we had one on the farm for around 8 years, learnt to drive it at 11, unfortunately had to scrap it for Mini money - it was rotten as hell anyway :( But its the most fun Ive had for £30, what it cost :D

Yours is great, I keep looking at the MG Turbo Maestros, but theres no way I could afford insurance, or the price tag for a good one.

I assume you've seen this picture of yours, came up on Google Images just now when I was googling Maestros after seeing this post :D

I hadn't seen that photo - thank you :-) I have seen a few others of her from Sandon Hall and one of those was used for 'September' for the 2012 Maestro and Montego Owners Club's calendar. Despite being in November, I have brought two! :D

I would love an MG Turbo, either a late one (think they look great :D) or an early one with the talking dash. How cool would it be to have that infamous talking dash!

One protests too much! Ok, ok, pm me your address and I'll post a 2013 Maestro and Montego Owners Club calendar to you. :D I don't think Milly will have made the 2013 calender (a shame being the both the Maestros and her 30th :() but I'll work really hard and get her in the 2014 one. And, yes, before you ask charie t, you can have a copy of that too!

My Dad had one mid 80's wiring melted on a un lit back road, lost all electrics I'd have one myself . Hes trait of destroying perfectly good cars continuities to this day, hes currently "testing" Honda's legendary reliability

His record of car care banned him from any use of any of my cars espically the mini

My aunt had a Maestro and my mum had a Montego! I didn't really appreciate them then.

Possibly the most upsetting thing though is when she sold my great Grandad's Escort Mk 2. That was such a lovely car, mint condition and low mileage. She stopped using it and it was just before i got interested in cars. I would love so much to still own my great granddads car. He did all the work on it himself right up until the day he died.

But that Maestro is lovely, really smart and original. I love the interior. So much more interesting than modern ones.
