Just read the posts due to the tag of Dubai.

 

Not sure if the cars came over here or if there is anything that can be done but if anybody wants me to look around over here let me know. Still quite a small place and Minis can often be found especially if in running or near running order.

 

Anyway let me know and will be glad to help anyway I can from the sandpit

sorry for this very belated feedback.

 

On my side, James alma & carlk walker from stourbridge both convicted by the court.

 

James alma has already some other court judgment against him (5k to someone else & HRMC) & while he is still working (there as I understand http://www.cherished...insurance.co.uk), once the HRMC & the first court order has taken their dues his remaining salary is lower than the minimum protected salary...and as a consequence I am not getting anything back currently... amazing that he can hide behind this and that the rule of law in this country protect such a person...

 

i have also been made aware of him buying second hand cars & spending monies he certainly never declared, which unfortunately cannot be considered when keeping within the law

 

As for Carlk Walker, he went in hiding and could not be found -I am aware he was also coned by James Alma but that was his choice to associate himself with someone like James and I warned him many times about the risk to be associated with such person before we ended up in court...so unfortunately on that side no claim could be put forward directly against him unfortunately...

 

I haven't heard anything from the other victims despite trying to make / keep contact, I guess everyone went their separate ways trying to recover something or just move on

 

 

Feel free to PM me if you have any other information that can help bring them to face the consequences of their acts

 

I guess I should not remind people to be careful out there, seems the justice system is not robust enough to protect honest people from such small petty thiefs...

Seen this today, popped up on my Facebook wall.

 

Not sure if it helps, but aren't things like this classed as optional assets? Fair enough the court could say he needs to have a car, but surely 2 non road worthy projects must be deemed a "hobby" or similar.

 

Not sure, but maybe it will help?

 

Hes asking £300 Ono for the 2x shell. Extra for some parts. Says the shells are located in DY8 in the midlands.

Someone commented asking about why they didnt have a V5. James replied saying he bought them like that for "parts" and then selling the shells.

 

I commented with a quick word of caution about James and his court cases and now it says "the content has been removed by the owner"
