I haven't got any pictures of the next bit, but around April time this year, he had a new rear valnce, closing plates, hinge panel, boot floor and a panel just below the rear screen. Then just at the end of July he went for paint. I got him back a week before MITP lokking as good as ever, and not multicoloured anymore (well apart from the roof and white stripes ).

Just after MOT in February, I fitted an Accuspark lecky ignition, and got him rolling roaded at Mikeanics. Word cannot explain how much better he was after this, and it was well worth the money.

He got 48.8lb ft of torque, and 47.1bhp, which I though was pretty good for a Stage 1 998 nearing 100,000 miles .

Anyway, hope everyone had a good christmas .....

.....which reminds me, Dad bought me a DAS-6 DA (he was fed up with me putting off buying one ) so Vinnie will be even shinier soon . I've just got to sort out which pads I'll be buying, I've narrowed it down to Chemical Guy Hex-logic, but can't decide on whether to go 4" or 5.5"....

Got the DA pads ordered last night, I went for 4" ones in the end to get into the hard to reach areas.

With MOT looming at the end of January, I've got to start getting him ready. Over the past week, he's started pissing oil everywhere, so the gear selector and driveshaft seals will be changed. Both steering rack gators need doing as well, so that should keep me busy .

I'll make sure everywhere is greased and get him all done before Bingley (hopefully, touch wood ).

It's funny how many times I've seen your car on here and never really realised you didn't have a project thread! Awesome car man, I love the colour, the 30 cherry red has to be my favourite factory paint. The dash looks amazing too, nice job with the wrapping! You going to be doing any more interior bits in the same wrap to keep a theme going?

Yep, I wrapped the ashtray thingy in it, which stopped it opening by itself when I was driving (result ) and the circly bits on the window winders. I want to do the switch panel and heater fascia/control thing too.

I never got round to uploading this picture, as it sort of shows how everything is...... (it's rubbish quality though as it was nearly dark when I finished washing it)



I'll keep the little prezzie a suprise hopefully it'll be with me by thursday/friday
