I don't know if any of you saw my thread yesterday, but if not, then Vinnie is brokeded for the time being

I managed to stip the column down today after I got home from school, and inspected both that and the rack. It's definitely the column, it's totally knackered and the splines where it joins the rack are practically smooth. That explains the problem then

Anyway, I'm just waiting for a few bits to come, and I'm ordering a JB Fab drop bracket, to replace the crappy one of the previous owners (bodgers) fitted.

I also tried to fit the tow eye thing, but the bolt seems to be bigger than the hole which is a bit annoying . I don't know whether I can file the hole out so that the bolt fits through?

Ha! I know, I thought it was going to be a nice easy job.... although I should know by that a nice easy job doesn't exist when you work on minis

They were dead easy to fit, just a straight swap for my old Wipacs

The brackets were already on when I got the car, but they are from minispares I think, and require one hole per bracket to be drilled, to help steady the lamp when fitted to the car
