Huh how did you manage that?

Ebay :)

I paid 50 quid for a full replacement mini 25 interior in very good condition
10 quid for a replacement mini 25 steering wheel
40 quid for my luxury wool carpet with thick underlay or sound proofing
then 50 quid for my Vibe speakers, speaker board, mp3 stereo, wires and under dash box.

I do love a good bargain or in my case a few good bargains :)

I've had Ashley James seats before and was happy, but they're up in Bolton
However I have a local trim guy who I use now in Rubery, Birmingham
Drop me a PM and I can give you more details

hey guys thanks for all the responses and pictures, definaltly loadsa a food for thought they're some good looking interiors

just wanted to throw somthng else into he mix here, i stumbled across this guy on ebay hes selling just the covers for the seats, i'm fairly confident i could fit them but i just wanted to ask if anyone has ever had any experience with these? i know a few companies supply just the covers, it kinda makes sense because postage of a set of front and rear seats works out to be loads both ways.

so a couple of things really anyone ever done this? and is there a huge difference between vinyl and leather? at the moment vinyl covers are working out about £300 cheaper

The difference between leather and vinyl is how pliable and comfortable it is. Vinyl is no doubt the harder wearing but is also rougher and, in my opinion, more uncomfortable.

Covers are all well and good for seats with just worn cloth but they dont address collapsed springs, worn foams or damage to frames. A good re-upholsterer will sort all of these things. I even got the opportunity to swap from single post head rest to twin post SPi seats.

Here are some photos of my new interior from Newton Commercial.

If anyone would like to finish installing the headliner for me, please let me know...

Very nice! I noticed you have the 1275 GT steering wheel there which is also very nice :)

I didn't know that! 1275 GT steering wheel, eh? Too bad it doesn't have the 1275 engine and all the extras that go with it...

What does the non-1275 GT steering wheel look like?

Basically...

Leather is more hard wearing, looks better, feels better, smells better and is worth every penny of the extra money - there is no comparison, with materials you get what you pay for.

While we're on the subject then what's the difference between theses two carpets?

http://minispares.co...px|Back to shop
The delux bound edge carpet £35

http://minispares.co...05.aspx|Back to
Moulded carpet £139

Is the second one really £100 better? Is having a moulded carpet worth it? What's the main difference?

The moulded carpet has the padding and insulation already installed. And being moulded, it will fit the contours of the floor better.

Newton Commercial makes an excellent carpet kit. I bought mine from Mini Sport as it was cheaper than from Newton. I'm not sure if Mini Spares sells the same kit, you may want to ask...

O I see so if I go for the moulded one there'll be no need for an underlay just put it in and that's it?

My interior is 50% leather, and 50% ICI leather texture PVC.... PVC is mainly used in the rears of the seats, and the leather in the harder wearing areas

No-one knows its not all leather....they tend to sniff the headrests and think that it's all leather ;)

Total trim cost all the custom features was about 1100.00.... But that includes all the walnut too....tricky to split the costs out ....

That was a bargain, are you happy with it? Got any pics?

Slow reply.... Extremely happy! Ive flaunted the pictures more than once before! The price was good because it was a special end-of-show-season discount as i say. I dont think the prices are that good now. Forgot to mention that colour coded floor mats and rear wheel arch liners were included also! The leather is a really good quality and has held its colour well (with a bit of leather love obviously). The back of the front seats are done with vinyl, which doesnt bother me as the crinkle effect is such a good match. As ive also mentioned before my only gripe was the dashboard was crap, but that came from Custom Consoles via Ashley James.
