Good move, you are in the driving seat. He can't call the shots, even if he thinks he's paying or not. If some chav robbed your ipod and got caught later, would you accept his replacement.

dOnt think that would have been me hehe I changed it gold when it was ripped apart to rid of all rust in June :) I've seen an old battered green F reg on morrisons... :)

Get a quote from a Mini friendly garage for full top notch repair. Give to guy the quote and tell him he either has to pay for it or you will get it done through insurance. Don't accept any other option!!!! Don't let the guy talk you into any kind of bodge artistry either...
