Have you tried turning it off and on again?

This has been asked before and the answer is the same.

An iPhone app is a lot of time, effort and money for next to zero benefit over the mobile skin the forum already provides.

TapaTalk is another story.

Mattl, never fear, we aren't being left behind. We have a mobile skin which makes about 95% of our mobile users happy.

99% of stats are made up on the spot. Have you actually collected any data or is this your opinion?

50% of the people with an opinion on this thread arent keen on the mobile version.

Like i say, listen to the users, dont listen to them. Its your call at the end of the day. I know I would at least consider something rather than just dismissing it.

By the way, i would have quoted you but i dont have the button on the mobile skin!

This forum already has a mobile application. TMF runs on the IPS Board platform and IPS Board supply a mobile app. Every forum that uses the IP Board platform can use the app as long as the forum is updated to a certain version.

Yes you do have the ability to quote. click the post you want to quote and a button appears at the bottom right.

There is nothing that the mobile version doesn't have the ability to do. What would you want an app to do?

There's no need to be rude to the moderators either.

IPS are supposed to be releasing a version for android soon. It is currently in beta testing but I expect it to be released soon as it has been in beta for a while now.

I can certainly see how your post could come across as being unnecessarily flippant and bordering on rude, even if you didn't intend it to be. When you consider that the mods donate their own time to running this forum and Deathrow in particular has to put a massive amount of work into the IT side of things, then your choice of words does come across as a bit ungrateful quite frankly, even if all you were trying to do was offer a different point of view.

My own opinion is that I can access the full version of the site perfectly well through my mobiles browser, so I really see no need for an app and it's not like I have the fastest/most up to date phone on the market either.

Correct me if I am wrong but I think it is completely out of the mods that run this forum control. IPS are the guys you need to hassle to get the Android and other OS versions released.

I am grateful to the mods for what they do, Im sure they have good intentions, as do I. I support Tmf myself through contribution of content and subscribing (still waiting on memership number by the way!)

Its not just about functionality. Convenience and ease of navigation is a consideration as well.

Im going to give up now as I can see my opinion isnt welcone.

I agree with you that an app is a good idea as I use the app for iphone. I'm just leting you know that regardless of what they think I don't think there is anything they can do.
