Looks good :D i've got personalised plates on the corsa but only because it was an 18th Bday prezzie 3 years ago, wouldnt have them otherwise bit of a pain in the neck when it comes to transferring them

Cheers, hopefully I won't have to transfer them as the plan is to keep the car and even if I do sell I don't think I'd transfer it unless I got another mini.

No problem i thought that a couple of months ago then kinda broke my pug so had transfer it for the 3rd time, hopefully it'll stay on this one for a bit longer, think it'll look good on your mini though :)

A personalised plate was bought for me about 18 years ago and I transfer it from car to car. It's A3*** and currently it's on a BMW 325.

Nothing wrong with personalised plates, usually people who moan about them can't find a good enough one for themselves .

Hopefully I won't have to explain it to you lot - ignore the J.

What do you think?

I get it mate, they look good. Nice present.
Here's ours, I'm sure I don't have to explain either ;-)

We have my Grandpas numberplate he had most of his life "A1 BDR" (Brian Dennis Robinson) on retention and one day, maybe for my 21st next month, i hope to have the plates on my care in memory of such a good guy who died far too young.

Hope people dont judge me for having a "vanity place"

Nice plates :)

Get them re-done in pressed metal, perhaps black and silver

I'm not judging anyone :) and I didn't mean to offend.

But thats why we buy them, Vanity. So people know who's car it is, and that our car stands it if you get me?

Thats why I think the Americans calling them Vanity plates makes sense :)

That sounds really nice, it would mean a lot more than most personalized plates.

I had some black and silver plates waiting to go on for my original reg number so now I'll have to get some for this one - hopefully having a shorter number might help with police even though it's not dateless.

Was only pulling your leg, i usually hate personalised plates but i also like to be hypocritical on special occasions and a mini with a personalised plate on it fine by me

My Plate spells out the cars name so I can't change it any way ;D

M514 VWC - Delete the 5 and the VWC and it looks like Mia. ;)

If it makes you feel better, I got it! And although I'm not a big fan of personalised plates, I quite like that because no one will know it is personalised at first look, and only a few people who ever see it on the road will realise what it means. Was/Is your mini a J reg already? I know you can't legally make a car look newer than it is but you can put an older plate on it as long as you are honest when you sell it.
