Recently a topic (found here: http://www.theminifo...pickup-related/) was raised about an additional projects subforum specifically for long wheel base Minis such as Pickups, Vans, Estates, etc. The topic received quite a lot of attention and a second point was raised about the projects section. At the moment there is quite a bit of content overlap, it can be confusing where your project log might belong.

As a result the staff have discussed some changes to the project section which will reduce the amount of content overlap and at the same time make it easier to find project logs on non-saloon Minis. The new sections would be as follows:

Project Logs
  • Mini Saloons (Roundnose and Clubman)
  • Mini Variants (Pickups, Vans, Estates, Elfs, Hornets, Mini based kit cars, etc.)
  • Engine Conversions (Same as current)
  • Other (Same as current)
During the change "Mini Engine Projects" will become "Mini Saloons" and all topics from "Complete Mini Rebuilds" will move into "Mini Saloons". Van, Estate, Pickup, etc. project logs in "Mini Saloons" will be found and moved in to "Mini Variants". Nothing will be moved from Engine Conversions, even if it's a variant unless the topic owner requests for it to be moved.

If you have objections or suggestions, this is the thread to voice them in and please don't forget to cast your vote.

Thanks for reading :proud:.

The threads will be left as they are, they may just be moved into a differently titled section.

In the original thread I said that it's alright as it is, but yeah I think it's a good idea how you're planning on doing it so it's a yes from me

It's to remove the content overlap. As it is pretty much everything in Complete Mini Rebuilds also applies to Mini Engine Projects as they mostly have Mini engines.

A mini engine build eventually turns into a complete restore anyway....
