If learner, you might get a cheap quote while learning, but expect increase when passed.
if passed, i doubt youd get a policy for £700 TPFT. I would expect a grand ontop of that minimum from my experience of friends and family. Also most insurance companies, the big dogs on like gocompare, comparethemarket etc wont give an agreed value on your mini, so your £3000 mini could get written off and you'd get £300 maybe...

Shop around though; best for me was Aviva as the "3months free" (25%) makes one hell of a discount for a young driver with 0years no claims. You can also ring them for an agreed valuation and to list modifications.

I'll Probaly Get A 1380 Wen Am 20 Something.. But I Heard Even The 998's Are Beefy
I had a MIni 1000 as my first car and it did 80 mph on a few occasions. I wont say if it was on the road or track or who was driving.

I was more than happy with how nippy it was around town.

My classic policy is through "Highways" which is part of LV - Liverpool Victoria.
Still got both cars - see profile picture. Anually, it's about £700 for both; fully comp, euro cover and two agreed valuations. Put the effort in to shop around as super-scrimping is very much worthwhile in the current economy.
Remember some policies don't let you have any mods at all and not claiming them will most likely void your insurnce in the event of an accident. It's best to keep your nose clean at all costs imo. :)

Ha! My wee 998 does 85-90 on the flat, 90+ (bouncy needle) on a hill. Only plonked a playmini exhaust on it and a K&N element, never seen a standard 998 fly so well. As you say though they're most fun doing the in and around town runs. :)
