No you won't, I did that 6 years ago on a £1000, modified 998, insured for £1500. Wrote the car off the year after (tidied the car up quite a bit so was worth £1500-£2000) and got offered a £400 pay out. But that's life. Since then it's become ever cheaper on classic policies with Footman James (who have now changed their underwriters so Classic is only available for 21 year olds or something), but I'm now paying for it and paying a fortune on non-classic stuff because I have no actual no claims bonus, just 5 years 'claim free driving'.Most probably.....but you won't be alone
Probably not, don't think I'd bother with a car if I lived in London.Well Am Better Off Owning A Car, Trust Me, In London Public Transport Is A F :xxx:g Nightmare... Every Week I Have 2Top Up 20Pound... A cAr Will Be Cheaper In The Long Run

6 years ago £1.5k on car insurance was pretty extortionate (for a reasonable car to insure)!

so if they qoute 2k for your mini but then say if you go on your parents policy for 6 months (to be able to drive there car as a learner) for around £30 a month and then in 6 months we will insure your for 1.2k or whatever you will save money, i did this and i got 500 knocked off my insurance when i explained i had a lncb

what you could do, is get a qoute from a company one of your parents are insured with.(assuming they drive) and see how much it is, then ask if you was added to your parents policy as a learner for the remainder of your learning period (on your parents cars not your mini) would this bring down your insurance on a mini when you do pass as you will have some LNCB which alot of people dont know about as these learner no claims bonuses are becoming more popular.
