I got the ash frame from M-machine at Darlington in England, It fit like a glove and the finished article is superb.

I have got a date from the body shop and it is going up next week to be fine tuned and painted in the original surf blue which i can not wait to happen.

The Surf blue is the original colour which is an Austin colour but for some very strange reason my Morris left the factory in surf blue which has been verified by a heritage certificate so it should end up as a rare original 1963 surf blue Morris Mini Minor Traveller and I can not wait :D

Great read and great pics, you are doing a cracking job there, its nice to see such a rare car built back to standard as it would have left the factory.

Can't wait to see the painted shell and obviously all the refurbish components refitted.

Still waiting for the body to return from the body shop, I have been up to see it a few timers and I am over the moon with the results so far.

It will be ready to pick up for the weekend so I will post some pictures when it arrives back. i have been cleaning, repairing and paInting everything so it will be ready to be refitted when the car comes back.

The steering wheel was all cracked around the horn push securing screw so I repaired it with JB wonderweld and repainted it with etch primer and two pack Black and lacquer, I was well pleased with the results as I have seen the price of them on E Bay and there was no way I was going to pay that much

:ohno:

You certainly did a stunning job of it! I really like the look of these old "bus" wheels. My one was painted white by the previous owner, which I like.

Been to see my finished paint job and I can say I was blown away with the end result, now can not wait to get it home to get cracking refitting and rebuilding.

Can not wait to get it back in the garage and start putting it all back together (without chipping and scratching it). Think I will put the engine in first so it gives me a bit more room in the garage.

Beautiful.
