Yes you need to check but if the float bowls are sitting level with 10/20 degree spacers fitted it's got to be the wrong one as above! Also technically you need the right jets for the angle as the jet hoses are different lengths and if the wrong length is fitted it will interfere with smooth operation of the choke.

I had this on a car, they where too short and pulled out :-(

Depending on which you have you may be able to simply turn them around.

I spoke to the guy who I bought the carbs from. he informed me that it is a 30deg cooper manifold purchaced from MiniIT and they only sell Cooper SCP (Npt SPC as I said) manifolds.

However I poped to my local pound shop and bough a protractor just to be 100% sure

Must be either the manifold or the spacers that are messing things up?

How about posting some photo's.????

A shot of the general arrangement and a good side angle of the carb, manifold and bulkhead would be best. Try to have something else in the frame so we can assess the relationship to the engine and the angles of everything too.

Everything looks right, if the float bowl spacers are indeed black then they are non-genuine ones (I've had a set of carbs from Avonbar that were built with non-gen parts before but I can't remember who makes the bits). You do have very thick plastic carb spacers fitted which I seem to remember are 12mm, you can get 5mm fibre ones. The thing is that as well as bringing everything forward they will bring everything down so you may not gain much. Do they clear with no spacers fitted (I'm not suggesting running it without any)?

Tried with them removed but worse. The spacers are 12mm think so if I want more room I need bigger ones which is ok as its supposed to add torque
