Quick build!

I have to say i'd probably have an MK1 door skin adapted to fit, although they're quite too expensive today, seen a few MK3 doors modified and the hadle position looked weird with the external hinges, so lets see how yours turn out

next week, we just meeting up in the pub fo now until al our minis are on the road, then i'm gonna start organising treasure hunts and drives out and stuff :)

todays update starts a few days ago when i got the drivers side hinges sorted and drivers wing on

 

 

propper messed the a-panel up though so thinking of replacing it

 

 

Then we go on to what i did today, couldn't play with the grinder or hammers or anything noisy as the wife is on nights so was sleeping in the day time (inconsiderate wench) lol.

stripped the better of my two 1275 engines (worse one going for a rebore to 1380 eventualy).

 

took the caps off the con-rods

 

and found some lovely ware marks

 

got the pistons and rods out

 

then got the oil pump off to find lots of sludge and goo in the pump, no wonder there was no oil getting round the engine, lol

 

once stripped i clean the outisde of the block, stripped my stage 3 head (sorry forgot to take pics)

 

then painted them both :) forgot to do a before shot, so i got a during and a very dark after shot (was about 9pm)

 

 

looks nice in BMC/MOWOG green engine paint

i have no idea mate, had it in the shed for years. think demon tweeks do something similar tho.

not the one i have got, no idea what make mine is, its just the only other one i've managed to find that'll fit a modern wheel.

The mountney m range boss fits wheels like that, sparco, omp etc, and is cheaper than the demontweaks one :)
