Mini update -

no work has been done since early november as i've has a extension built. i've managed to source a set of Honda S2000 fuel injectors from the states so will be getting those in a few weeks. As i mentioned earlier, the supposedly standard hayabusa fuel injectors have maxed out a 150bhp but the engine still wants and will take more. the S2000 uses the same style of Peco injector and is a well tried upgrade for hayabusas as the S2000 factory output is 197bhp. these should take advantage of thte large bore of the TB's and i hopefully should see 160-170bhp

also, my Honda S2000 Keihin fuel injectors arrived from the USA. visually identical to the suzuki hayabusa ones and lesser gsxr models, but these one are good for around 220bhp.

latest developments are that since getting the mini out of winter hibernation and restarting work on it, there seems to be air getting into the brake hydraulics. suspect is the NOS cooper s master cylinder. have got a rebuild kit so see how that goes. also, after malvern noticed that the driver side cv joint gaitor has sprayed grease everywhere so need to investigate.

otherwise the trip to malvern was good, using 6 gallon to do the 100mile B road trip ;)

right hand tank to be fitted....

Ex-patrick motors quick lift jack is coming in handy:-

the inside of the b posts and window panels are now painted ready for rear cards and carpet:-

safety devices harness bar bolted in. couldn't get the middle bar to line up with the tunnel seatbelt holes but drilled some more holes. all fine though

next jobs are to bolt in the drivers bucket seat and install the TRS 5 point harness (need more eyebolts though) then get some battery cable to fab up the battery cut off switch by the drivers seat.

got some more alloys (thanks nick) to go on - just getting some part worn yokos swapped over at the moment. alloys are performance 6x13 minilights - slightly lighter, less tramlining and less tyre stretch than the 7x13's.

I was thinking of getting one of those myself to be honest. Is it a problem caused by a mis-match of the cage you have, or is it just an alignment thing? I'm assuming you've got an SD cage?

its an fia spec cage but i had the legs shortened to fit under the webasto sunroof. this has affected the standard dimensions of the cage. the harness bar is out by about 1 inch which is what was cut off the cage legs, so all tallies up if you see what i mean.

Hey Matt I managed to get those Metro Turbo disks turned down and fitted all the brakes on now. Not plumbed in yet but they look the business.

Cheers - John
