Just one further check that the OP is not talking about a H4  , another su carb fitted to some MGB i think,, but not sure if in twin formation

There are probably quite a lot of forum users running twin HS4s with your spec motor. If you repost asking the same question about HS4s you may get some additional replies.

 

For what it's worth a starting point for your spec with fixed needle twin HS4s is the Number 7 needle, using blue springs and the 8104 damper.

 

If you are stuck with red springs (I don't know if you can get blues for HIFs) then you are probably looking at an equivalent to the Number 3 (fixed needles) as starting point.

No 7 are fixed needles and won't fit. In any case they would probably be too rich.
