Hi;

My next door neighbour has what I believe is a 998. I started a thread on it here: http://www.theminifo...on#entry2673004

How can I check whether or not this Engine is worth salvaging, thought it would be easier to clean and paint it an bung it into my Y Reg 998?

Thanks

without stripping it probably not to much

check for signs of obvious leaks.

take plugs out look at colour

you could bench test it maybe even plumb an oil pressure gauge in..

Only needs a battery and a fuel supply to get one kick in, will start just sitting on the floor.
