Show has been ruined
I guess if you like the format of the previous show, then you could take the point of view that it has been ruined.
However, the general consensus from those who attended and from the press reports is that this was a good show with the potential to be an important show in the future if the Motor Heritage Centre along with the various marque clubs/registers continue to progress it.
Personally, I'm not convinced that there is a market for yet another Mini show, there are so many. I feel that Gaydon have got it right focusing on the heritage side of British motor manufacture, bringing out prototypes and working with the marque clubs/registers. I appreciate if you're not into this side of Mini or motoring, it's not going to be your cup of tea, but there will be plenty of other shows that will cater for you. However, if you're are, not only will you get plenty of Mini heritage, but other marques too. It was good to see John Sheppard there again with the 1959 Register talking to people and I also John Baker who was spreading the word about the Austin and Longbridge Federation.
Clearly camping prices need reviewing and I'd love to get a Longbridge convoy up and running for 2015. Given that this year was the first from Cowley to this show, I want to give it another year before working on the Longbridge end.
