You have to machine down the trumpets in the ratio of 3.1 from back to front, you remove enough material from the trumpets inside the displacers that you lower the car to much, and then you pump the hydragas unit up to bring the psi higher than it would be, hence you are not only lowering the car but stiffening it to.
Its really simple maths, you just remove enough metal to lower the car more than you want. If you want to lower the car by 30mm you'd remove enough metal from the trumpet to lower it by 55mm. You can then pump up to a higher psi, 450, rather than the standard 300. That way you lower the car by 30mm but gain stiffness in the process!
Looks a nice car. The badge is a mystery since it seems to be original, they made a GTA 16v but that was a Mk3, the 114GTA only ever came as an 8v. I am thinking its a badge from an export model but the Mk3 export Metro was called the 114GTI rather than Rover 100 or GTA.
