Well it's been a busy weekend getting Simon primed for his next coating of paint, as I did say I will post more pictures when I have some so here are a few more.

Just need to sand it down now before the black sparkle goes on and then it's doors, boot & bonnet to get done then I suppose it's the putting Simon all back together so he's fit & ready for an mot, just hope they can do it on time as brother in law has got his mini to get up & running also now...

Hopefully more progress tomorrow as it's a bank holiday and they ain't at work till Tuesday, being the good wife I am I'll supply tea, coffee, and food when needed.... :)

Well there has been more progress made with the paint work. Well my hubby & brother in law got away from work early and managed to get three coats of base paint and three coats if lacquer & literally just finishing now, next is to get Simon rolling get his sub frames back on and get the doors boot & bonnet ready for being painted.

Yeah the colour of the roof is fantasy pink pearl metallic ( fancy pink with sparkle glitter), and the rest of the car is a fantasy midnight blue super sparkle black metallic ( black with sparkle glitter).

Not sure as of yet what colour I'm going to do the archers yet weather to go pink or black that will be decided when the rebuild properly starts.

And yes this is girly colours and a compromise with the hubby as they wouldn't go all pink lol ..

Well I know it's been a while since I've last updated but my partner has been none stop working and haven't had the chance to get much done, but now IMM is not to far away things are now progressing well. They finally got Simon rolling and all brakes done just need bleeding, hopefully engine tomorrow night he's a couple of pics so far.

Ben we still managed to get it in, sent oh dears wife to Minispares today for more parts that we are missing and a new exhaust.

Have a day off today so hopefully will get it all connected up, started and a little test drive.

Then just left with the interior although for now I don't think it will be anything special just need it through a mot and ready for the imm.

Then I wonder if I can get mine there...

Well yesterday we got a full day on the build!  And managed to get a fair bit done.

 

Drive shafts stripped and refurbed with new boots, brake servo stripped and rebuilt, installed and bleed brakes all working now!  Clutch master cylinder refitted with a new slave. 

 

New rc40 with new maniflow 3-2-1 downpipes, wiring loom reinstalled and loosely wired to allow us to start the engine.

 

Refitted the petrol tank and fired him up, other than a small problem with a dud fuel pump it sprang to life and sounded great, not bad for a 36 year old engine without any work( came from ohdears 1098 clubman) 

 

Last Item of the day fitted was a seat to allow for the first test drive 

 

All drove and worked as it should, now just all the lights etc to fit.

 

Tonight we reskinned the drivers door ready to paint over the next week.
