Hi guys

What is the opinion of the response time between WP getting your order (and money) and dispatch?

I've also used their ebay service, which is fine.

Normally with questions regarding orders/problems...etc - it's much better to call.

I ordered from and paid them on the 6th, after a week I called (from Abu Dhabi) and was promised dispatch the following day with a mail with tracking number, I have heard nothing since. I am considering cancelling my order, trouble is some of the parts I ordered are unique to WP. Personally I think this is piss poor and will not be placing any more orders with them, that is for sure.

I ordered a final drive from the states three days after the WP order and received it in 4 days.

One wonders what happened to the British motor industry!

I've used W&P twice now during a week of ownership. Found them helpful and honest. Sorry to hear you've had a problem. I'd phone them again and explain your concerns. Not sure what it's like where you are but customs can cause delays here even when a seller has posted promptly.

It is not South African customs, they have not despatched my order yet and offer no explanation or communication. Definitely the last order I place with them! Shame for a company with such a rich history. Much like RR, Austin, Rover, Leyland, Jaguar, MG, Morris, Riley, Wolseley, Etc. Etc....

The W&P that exists now doesn't really have a connection back to the 60's / 70's / 80's company, it's more of a trading name, but I've not heard about bad service from them, I guess everyone drops the ball now and then

Wood & Pickett are also usually found selling in the trade area of most of the major Mini shows and I have always had a friendly welcome at their premises in Leatherhead, Surrey.

They're not great with email. Much better to phone them.

Their web page, I did not realize they have an eBay presence too.
