Get mine from a local dealer.
Its a better option than buying from ebay shops, theres always a chance that you got delivered of a bad battery, and returning the battery will be time consuming and annoying.

Camberly Auto Factors stock quite a few different batteries. I've always had good experience with Yuasa for the Golf, which needs considerably more starting power than a Mini.

Watch the price in Halfrauds they tend to be a bit on the expensive side.

I know...found a few batteries on Amazon what were a fraction of Halfords prices.

Hi many thanks for this thread, very useful.
I have just ordered a new battery for my '71. A quality Varta Blue Dynamic in 075 size format and with 60Ah and 540 CCA it has almost double the starting grunt of the old battery.
I bought from Tanya in North Wales who came highly recommended as a national supplier with fresh stock, good prices and fast delivery. (I have no connection to them)

D59 VARTA BLUE DYNAMIC CAR BATTERY 12V 60AH (560409054) (075)
I also ordered a Noco XL Eyelet connector so that I can easily attach my Noco maintenance charger when Mini is not in use.
