Is This Idler Gear Setting Right

hi im after advive if you brainiacs could check this and tell me if this looks right id be appreciative its a 3 thou feeler

well if 1mm is equal to 40 thou and your dial indicator is showing just under 0.10mm or a tenth of 1mm that would equate to just under 4 thou hope this helps

if memory serves end float spec is 3 thou to 8 thou so your idler gear end float according to your pictures looks to be within spec

I went by the rule that 'optimal' is 3 thou road engine, 6 thou race engine.

 

i built mine up at 4 thou
