Hi all,

I am in the process of replacing the starter spindle seal (AUD3577) for my HIF44 (FZX1386) but when I try to fit, the lip of the seal falls into the gap between the spindle and the spindle holder. Anyone else encounter this issue? I was thinking about compressing the seal lightly in a vice for a period of time to spread the surface area of the seal but not sure if this is advisable.

My service kit also came with the larger top hat style seals (JZX1994) but only 2, and those were fitted to the throttle spindle. Should I fit a larger seal to the starter spindle as well? I did a test fit and it seems to fit much better and sits underneath the seal cap perfectly. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!
