we have literally 1000's of classic car parts.. gotta go to a auto jumble really..

EBay!!!

I've put hundreds on eBay.. it's identifying the parts :/ 80% of BMC numbers don't cross to anything anymore.. sold a mk1 Capri bumper guard today.. some reason the number cross referenced to a escort.. obviously wasnt?!
but yeah.. at least at a jumble people know what they're looking for :D

Just go to Beaulieu autojumble with it all, you won't have to label anything and people will tell you what it all is anyway.  It's the biggest and best place.

Would be great to see some pictures! Nice to hear that you still do the attended pumps etc, there is one near where i live that does that, it is a nice service to have in the small villages.

My parents house dates back to the 1890's i believe, i saw the paperwork for that, incredible to look at with all of the olde English.

Nice reading this post. Post pictures up :)

Umm, at Beaulieu!  It's in the new forest so not too bad for Devon really.  It's a very famous autojumble and people come from all over the world.

I was told about that only yesterday by someone delivering parts.. told me to go up with a truck load.. apparently costs like £200 for a table :/

I'd love to see pictures :)

Sounds like a nice little history...have you looked further into your background of the garage, might be some interesting stories behind it, maybe some famous people used it, you never know!

Not too sure about certificates, but if you go to English Heritage they may be able to help and grade list your building.

Also if you go to local newspaper or even national papers, they can run a nice little history spread about your garage, put photos up and they may be able to look into further backgrounds of it, plus it increases business. Sometimes people who are writing history books of the area etc. might want to put your business in and research it.

Hope this helps

I have some pictures now.. (sorry about the quality though)
okay,so the old clips we would put in the sales cars to show we supplied them

I will check, I think he has some early history, it has not had many owners. Maybe he should bring it over to the garage for a photo shoot!

That would be cool, my dad did get a tax disc holder for my brother from your garage many years ago. You don't happen to have any spare plastic labels like in your pic? I think it had one fitted from new back in 1969. He does have the service book that has Moors Garage stamps on it but no bill of sale.

If there is a dry day he said he would bring it to show you. The car has probably never left North Devon, so not to far away!
