Yes flooring for a 2 post or 4 post lift is very important. They said for mine you need a min of 6" thick of concrete.

The anckor bolts are 5" long and you have to drill a 25 mm hole in the floor for to go in to. Even with a sds drill it took a while.

I can understand the reasons if they say that all ramps have to be fitted by a certified installer. It's a big bit of kit taking a lot of weight and one fault could bring it all to the ground.

But I think at the moment there will only be able to in force it for businesses.( that's if they are doing it ). With the amount of use they will get., health and safety, red tape and all those things. It's really a good idea to have it fitted by someone who really know what they are doing.

It's one of thoses things that once something really bad happens and starts to happen often. Then that's when there start to look at it closer.
