ivw bought the mini with a non mini engine it it.. I know it's a 1275cc.. engine number has been sanded off so idk what engine this is.. (the carb isn't fitted)
I think it may be a mg metro engine but I ain't sure

These are normal A+ sintered rockers, your carb has a crappy dashpot damper fitted to 'economy models', you want the LZX2085.

For the rest, with no engine number, the only way to tell if its an MG metro engine is to take engine apart.
