im just in the process of doing mine, ive gone for the flip upwards rather than down!

im just in the process of doing mine, ive gone for the flip upwards rather than down!

I did one for a 6 foot 4 inch mate who always walloped his head on the bonnet whilst working on it....

 

We did a hinged forward tilting steel flip, but we also hinged the bonnet sideways. That way he could work on the car with the bonnet 'up' (sideways) for easy access, or flip it forward and sideways on the hinges to totally remove the entire front end. Worked out quite well..... I'll see if he has any photos if anyone's interested??
