Hi all,

As I'm on holiday, so didn't need to get up early, I thought I would sleep in the mini last night. (Still in the garage)  O_O

There was a reason for this..... I reckoned it might be possible to sleep in the car at next year's shows, so I wouldn't need to camp.

I was going to put a stove in the back, so I could do bacon and eggs in the morning at the shows...

...and I made the seats, so they could be laid across (it's a bench seat), but as they are 'fixed', they don't recline.

HOWEVER..... While I might have dozed off in the 'Chop' on occasions, a night's restful sleep is virtually impossible!

It's sooooo uncomfortable..... Guess I'll take the tent to the shows ;D

Anybody else tried to catch some shut-eye in their minis??

If so, how'd you get on?

I did it once, drunk. (I was later informed if I was caught I could have been done for drink driving) Not doing it again, it was uncomfortable and I don't fancy the risk of points on my licence. Why I didn't sleep at my mates house, which I walked past, I will never know.

I did that at a house party once. My mate Ben and I both had veedub beetles so swapped ignition keys and slept in our own cars, so if we got discovered, we would be fine. (Don't think it would've made any diference anyway as old beetle keys are like mini keys... Most work in worn barrels)

At MITP 2012, I was so uncomfortable in my tent I thought I'd test the Mini. Within half an hour I was back in the tent and colder than a cold thing! This year I drove down on the Sunday. Shows how much I like tents.

L2B 2011 - we made  stop at a services to catch some shut eye, i woke up needing a whizz and quickly realized i had pins and needles in my foot, so i started to attempt getting out of the car. which i then got stuck between the seat and the car getting out, trying hard to get out, eventually popped myself but got my self tangled in the seat belt in the process and shot my self out the car like a elastic band. landed on my other leg which happen to have fallen to sleep. which looked obviously hilarious to my girlfriend, and then much to the amazement of the couple in the car next to us, when i stood up my trousers fell down! what a memory that will be!

so yea it was ok until i woke up :P
