I have produced an RAC rout planner map of the run, it comes with directions (to the left side of the map - scroll down) It totals to 2hrs 15mins and 63.52 miles. So I cannot stress enough the importance of a full petrol tank to begin with and jerry cans just in case. This is not the fastest rout between the two points so do not follow satnavs, however they may be good to get you to the start location and if you get completely lost - but using it will skip out the rest of the run. I have chosen this rout as it is in my view some of the best roads in the area, there are blind bends and narrow lanes in there so be care full. I am in a lowered car so on the bumpier bits we cant go as full on as standard height cars may like, however having driven this rout before I know there are few places that need such caution. I will be leading the run (in my blue sports pack) and hopefully we will manage to stay together, if not the general eticet is to wait as long as possible for the car behind to catch up at the next junction (where safe to) although don't get lost yourself. I will try to keep an eye in my mirror and I will pull over to wait if we are lacking in numbers when necessary. We will leave the start point pub at 1.30pm (after dinner) I will be arriving there at 12.45 aprox and most others will be arriving at 1.00 - 1.15pm, if your running late or get lost phone me on: 07572866990 and we will wait but not forever! I will give you a 5 minuet warning before we go to warm up your engines and keep an eye on Bob (My MPI Cooper) Weather at the moment is looking to be dry which is good, however being England is not definite so don't rule out wet weather completely. Expecting approximately 12 atm from here, pistonheads and various regional clubs. Expected ending time of 4:00pm however I will be staying at the end location (pub) a while and if people fancy we could go back out for another short run, but this is only if we are all still super eager! Hope to see as many there as possible. James - Mini Grin, organiser.
Beneath is a link to the RAC rout planner as mentioned above, directions are on the left and you will need to scroll down. Id recommend printing these out and bringing with you. If you cannot access it from this link I can email you it, pm me your address. I will bring one or two copies on the day but not enough for everyone. I will warn you however that on the rout planner, location H for some reason wont let me select that road without jumping onto a dead end too..... so worth noting.
