Hi, well its tomorrow!! Getting a little exited now! :D
Don't kill me if we get lost, from bakewell on I know the rout very well, the baslow to matlock bath and onto bakewell bit...... we could end up practicing our 3 point turn skills :P
I have given you a rout plan, however there are the odd little bit in there where we go a little different (only by a mile or so) so follow me over the rout, and use the plan if we get split up or if you get lost, we will wait when I notice we are missing a few, my number is put on a post little higher up, may be worth noting down in case you get lost or are running late getting to the start location. A small thought Ive had about the start location, that pub gets rather full on Sundays, their are two car parks, try and park in the one with my R reg Blue MPI SP in it, however if its full feel free to park in the other. I will be there from 12.30 and we will be setting off at 1.30. I am the guy with long strait blonde hair and wearing a leather jacket... please say hi  :shy:
Should be a great day, different people are saying different weather reports, so it could be anything.

Final numbers, im expecting around 16 cars, but all classic minis and metros are welcome so any extras would be great.

Things to check you have: - The usual oil, water etc, - Rout plan with my number written on - Ideally a sat nav as a last resort - a FULL tank and if possible jerry cans as this is a nearly 70 mile rout with no petrol stops planned, If I notice im running low I will try and find one, but not planning on doing. - Money for a drink at the end ;) if you fancy. - Any measures you normally take when using your cars in the rain.

Something to note, your responsible for your own driving, drive within your own and you cars abilities and remember that Derbyshire police love to use mobile cameras to fill up the xmas party fund :P We will be going a little slower as its a long drive and some of the roads have random dips and pot holes that lowered cars don't like.

Have fun! Cya tomorrow at the Moorlands pub car park, Sheffield at 12.30 - 1.30pm.

Thanks, James.

Okay, I will incorporate a brief stop off at the turning to go down into monsal dale (monsal head). Just before the turning there is a pay and display car park, just behind the Monsal head pub, we will take a 5 minuet break there. I think there is a loo, if not ..... im sure the pub wont mind/know XD

well we are only there for 5 mins..... just a quick loo stop, so just leave someone in the car XD

Very slight amendment to the map, at point "H" we do not go down that little dead end, the RAC planner for some strange reason has added that in, and we turn down the Outlands Road, and then Hill head road, not the Creswell part lane. mark these correction on.
Also at "E" we turn off just before the marker up on a slight detour to the tip of that point (the hairpin left) just as that's a nice little stretch. Ends up on the same road. Also worth marking onto your paper copies.
The afore mentioned loo break is about 10 yards before the turn off of Ashford Ln onto the road that hits point "E". You can see a large car park on street view.... in there is the loos :P
Towards the end of the run just before Hathersage (at the T junction where the Bamford road joins us) there is a Texaco/mace petrol station ("Sicklehome"), we will pull in here for a top up, but even getting here is about 50 miles from the start, so cant stress enough the importance of a full tank to begin with.

More on the start point issues, it does get rather full in that carpark, as numbers have grown we may have out grown the car park. A little further around the roundabout the moorlands is situated on, there is a pub called the peacock. This has a fairly sizable carpark. Try to get into the moorlands, but if you cant, ring/text me to tell me that your in the peacock car park :P I have not arranged with the pubs so if asked your there for a drink with some mates XD if most end up in the peacock then the group of us in the moorlands ay emigrate too :P see how it goes/blag it!!
EDIT: If we cant get parked there is a layby/truck pull in next to the moorlands pub, - see satellite view - good backup me thinks

Eeek its tomorrow :D If you need me at all my number is: 07572866990 :) I will post all pictures I or Kevin (the photographer mate) take on here, however in case I cannot get all of them on, email me at [email protected] and ill email you them all on there.

Cya tomorrow, 12.30 - 1.30 at the moorlands pub S17 3BQ....... hope we can get parked XD

unless you cant get into the moorlands car park, in that case go to the peacock and give me an ring .... but try for the moorlands, and if you cant get in either, then there is a layby at the side of the moorlands. BUT RING ME SO I KNOW YOUR UP THERE! :P cya tomorrow
Edit last minuet issue with that bleeding root planner, in matlock bath we stick to the river side road (A6) not going up the cliff side into the little streets above (marker B)
