Hi, well its tomorrow!! Getting a little exited now!
Don't kill me if we get lost, from bakewell on I know the rout very well, the baslow to matlock bath and onto bakewell bit...... we could end up practicing our 3 point turn skills
I have given you a rout plan, however there are the odd little bit in there where we go a little different (only by a mile or so) so follow me over the rout, and use the plan if we get split up or if you get lost, we will wait when I notice we are missing a few, my number is put on a post little higher up, may be worth noting down in case you get lost or are running late getting to the start location. A small thought Ive had about the start location, that pub gets rather full on Sundays, their are two car parks, try and park in the one with my R reg Blue MPI SP in it, however if its full feel free to park in the other. I will be there from 12.30 and we will be setting off at 1.30. I am the guy with long strait blonde hair and wearing a leather jacket... please say hi
Should be a great day, different people are saying different weather reports, so it could be anything.
Final numbers, im expecting around 16 cars, but all classic minis and metros are welcome so any extras would be great.
Things to check you have: - The usual oil, water etc, - Rout plan with my number written on - Ideally a sat nav as a last resort - a FULL tank and if possible jerry cans as this is a nearly 70 mile rout with no petrol stops planned, If I notice im running low I will try and find one, but not planning on doing. - Money for a drink at the end ;) if you fancy. - Any measures you normally take when using your cars in the rain.
Something to note, your responsible for your own driving, drive within your own and you cars abilities and remember that Derbyshire police love to use mobile cameras to fill up the xmas party fund We will be going a little slower as its a long drive and some of the roads have random dips and pot holes that lowered cars don't like.
Have fun! Cya tomorrow at the Moorlands pub car park, Sheffield at 12.30 - 1.30pm.
Thanks, James.
