The original creator of the mini minus is Keith Lane so you should try and track him down. I think he still owns the only original rwd minus. And I believe a guy bought an old shell from him last year so he's still about.

I've done this research before and drew a bit of a blank. But this info on Two to four engineering may hold some new leads:

If it was me, and it was a decent' strong shell... then I'd say about £1-£2k

Also, as Minus' are fibreglass, it would be cool, if there was a way of making them to be able to take a bigger engine than a A series :proud:

If you realistically want a top quality CF shell, I believe you need to be selling them for more than that. Smudger,me and you should have a chat some time as I have a very interesting idea.

I personally think that if the shell is done correctly, and has the right options, you could make it more like £2500 and it would still sell. It depends whether you want to knock-out 10 amazing shells a year for like £2000-3000, or if you want to knock out 20 mediochre copies of something that already exists for like £1500.

I personally believe lightweight CF is deffo the way to go.

I thought for a standard reshell it has to be the same specification shell!!
and fiberglass or CF arent standard specification??

But if you could do it that easily id be very intrested,
especially if i could easily put my current project into it (i.e. make it without the bits i wouldnt need, + a slight modification).
Was going to get a load of CF parts in the future so a complete shell would be brilliant!!!
and i dont like rust!!

Is there a possibility at all of having one in CF??? or would that be too much??

I was just wondering the same thing?

Would the shell be availible with fully exposed weave? Or is it not possible because there would be panel joining lines etc. I take it the shells are not one piece, they are many panels bonded together?

Id like to see a weight comparison between a standard steel, a FG, and a CF one.

Yeah its possible, but what about with exposed weave? Surely the shells cant be one piece so there would be panel joins so it wouldnt look right with exposed weave :'(

It take it that its wet lay carbon fibre smudger uses and not pre-preg?

If you can "upgrade" things such as put a new engine, brakes, suspension, in your car to "racing spec" why cant you upgrade your bodyshell to a "racing spec" carbon fibre shell? :-p
