Personally I have better things to be doing than questioning someone who may or may not be legitimately selling a car, just 'for kicks'.

The guy on the advert, who can't really write very well as we know, has also just said in an answer to a question that the car is 1969. It isn't, it's 1989! And Henley Blue, a rather nice colour
I love the 'John Cooper' sill covers (LOL) but am rather shocked to see there is one part of this car which is in better condition as mine... The bootlid!!

If the V5C/2 has the Ebay seller's details already on it, then they will have to send it + the V62 form + £25 to the DVLA to get a whole new logbook. This will be in their name, so then they can do the transfer to the new owner as normal.

There is nothing wrong , or illegal, about selling a car or shell without a Registration Document ( V5c ) or Chassis plate ( VIN plate ).
It's the buyers responsibility to do all necessary checks, if you wish to return a 'unidentifiable' vehicle to the road then you will to contact DVLA/VOSA and go through what ever inspection they determine necessary.
If the vehicle does have identifiable marks ( ie registration plate and chassis/VIN ) then a vehicle check will confirm the state of vehicle. It's then your responsibility to get a receipt and apply for the Registration document...
Read the advert and I see nothing dodgy, what I do see is the possibility to misinterpret the advert.
What you're not allowed to do is sell the documentation ( V5c ) and plates without the corresponding car....
